Hi Yoda,Do you mean that if the system is lacking refrigerant, the system will not allow the compressor to kick in?yodawill2000 wrote:On most cars too high or too low head pressure will do that.My guess is a leak and to low a pressure.
Interesting...OK, a** soon as I can get off this boat, I will do the recharge and see what comes of it...and will post the results.yodawill2000 wrote:I believe so.My sons Accord did that.
thats what will happen cause there are high pressure sensors that are checking for refridgerent pressure and if there isnt enough then the ecu wont engage the compressor clutch. right now im in auto mechanics school at my local technical institute and i just finished AC class so if that doesnt work then you could have an issue with a relay or switch not working. or if everything else is good then a wiring issue. as yoda said do you have a leak? if you do, fix it asap cause water can damage the system and can easily cost you alot of money you dont want to spend.truckmen wrote:

Thank you kindly for the info. I will check for leaks as well. I am pretty sure that if I have one, it must be small. I hadn't driven the car at all for the past few years and it had cold air a year ago.1994 infiniti j30 190+ wrote:
