Been hearing a clunking sound from the front passenger tire. Jacked it up and wiggled the tire side to side. Not problem. Then top to bottom. OMG!! About a half inch of movment!! would explain why it pull's to the right pretty good, i think. What am i looking at? Control arm bushings? Ball joints? I dont want to have to replace the fricking control arms. Any help would be appreciated. thanks

If upper links are new then probably king pin , bushing, and socket [Aka third link]. One moving tire one on inside narrowing down the movement.

it should be pretty easy to tell whats trashed when you get in there.. its hard to say, but chances are you might as well just replace everything.

I'll let you do the research on Joe's website... but we're looking at, a bare minimum, sway bar bushings, upper links, tension rod bushings.. thats usually the front overhaul assuming you have good tokico blues and all that jazz.

Sway bar bushings..................$20/setUpper link.................................$100Tension rod..............................$100Tokiko Strut..............................$70Bump stop, mount, bushing.....$50

Total: about $325 per wheel plus any installation costs. Not cheap but it sure rides nice when it's all done.

you can replace just the T-rod bushing for about $20, and factor in a few extra bux for a machine shop to press it in for you.

Eventually [dependin on personal sensitivity] you will need to add 3rd link and lower arm, outer tie rod ends.

By 200k every single component should have been changed, by 100k if only the best will do.
