First, I know the 240 is a great platform for the swap ( I have two of them...) but what other cars have you seen RBs in that worked well? Just thinking of a project car other than a 240 this time and wanted to see what anyone else has seen / done?

How about a "newer" car - something that would take notice. Anybody? I have seen RBs in RX7s which would rock, but that must be a nightmare swap for certain. There has to be a happy medium out there.

BMW 3 series. I have seen SR's in them, but not an RB. If the M3 6 will fit then an RB should fit as well.

I have seen them in Z31's and Z32's also.

Supra would work as well.

I thought about an M3 with an RB25. I can only imagine how hard the wiring would be...but that would be one of a kind - I think. I have seen the SR in 325s, but has anyone ever seen or heard of an M3 with an RB25 in it?

Rb in a mustang!? Eww why waste such a nice motor.... lol. I have however though seen a pinkish 240 around the Detroit area driven by a black guy that has a chevy 350 in it. Yes he yanks the wheels hardcore

what do you guys know of the SR in the e30 bmws? I just recently saw the kits they make for them...it was only like 2k for the mounts and driveshaft, something like 6k for wiring, engine/transmission, fmic w/ pipes, mounts, driftshaft, guages...sounds like a pretty nice kit..Hows the balance of the car after?

A miata with an RB26...holly %^$#. How...just makes putting an RB in a 240 look easy/boring. Must be fast, but I wonder how it handles. I keep kicking around the idea of doing an SR miata, but an RB miata, hmmmm.

Oh yeah, 240sx2nr95, very nice signature photo...got any more

there it is C, i can get one of those kinda cheap(not 240 cheap, but cheaper than an mx5). plus you can take the trans axle outta a 928 and those things will handle way over 800hp, i can get one of those too. you could use the rb26 bellhousing and bolt it to the torque tube. the hard part would be the clutch, the 26 has a pull type(?) so maybe convert to an rb25 there.

you could always go to a 928 but the old man might shoot you for that one.

edit: they have put 2jzs into m3s so for sure you could get a 26 in there.

Thanks for all the input!

I am leaning towards the M3 or a third gen Rx7. Has anyone an info on these swaps? I have found some posts that briefly mention these swaps, but no technical info on it. Even just a good discusion on it would be nice.

Thanks again.
