all you have to do is get the sr rod around the rb30 crank and the rest is gravy. if you have to bore out the block slightly to get the piston in there so be it, if you have to machine the inside of the block so the rods dont slap the block walls thats ok too. course the hard part is getting the rods around the crank...

to the first guy, tell me where in the US i can buy rb30 rods. i know of a few places in australia, but they are in australia. besides, if the rb and sr rods are the same why cant i use sr rods.

to the second guy, so its better that i go out and use chevy or toyota rods in a nissan motor? if the sr rods are within tolerance then they will work, they are closer to the factory rb rods than the chevy or toyota would be, the fact they are cheap has nothing to do with it. if i buy pauter sr rods its gonna cost more than $1200, cause i will have to buy 2 sets. if i buy the chevy rods, 1 set at $400 shipped. personally i think its stupid that someone pay for rods to be shipped from australia or japan when there are prefectly good alternatives here in the states.
