I think I finally got an RB30 block lined up for me, but its really been so long and a few computer changes I'm not sure of exactly everything I'll need should I attempt this conversion. I searched the obvious website and didnt find anything, seems like I had PDF file at one time showing what needed to be done the the VCT head among other things but I cant find it now. Any help there would be great =)

But heres my questions. The guy is asking me what all I will need on the block and Im not real sure. Can I use my RB25 alternator, starter, etc? Should I try and get with with the original ones? Will my RB25 5 speed bolt to the RB30 block, and with what cluch or fly wheel? I think I kind of need to know these things before I make any purchases lol. Again Im sorry if this is all covered some place but Im at a loss right now.

if you can get a complete block/short motor (minus head saves on shipping) it will help you alot, like alternator, starter, etc.

as far as sensors goes, the everything is pretty much on the rb25 head. if you're using the VCT (R33 RB25det) head you need to tap the front of the head to feed oil to it (think LS-VTEC for honda boys).

all RB motors will bolt up to all RB transmission (5spd or auto)same goes for clutch. rb specific or z32 na clutch will work; of course you will need a rb flywheel, or a D21 hardbody flywheel is the same size.

the conversion is very easy. a r32 rb25-NA or rb26 head will be the easiest for you.

look on skylines australia forums for large amount of details of this setup: http://www.skylinesaustralia.c...15420

i have a couple rb30 blocks, too bad i need to keep them for myself for severals conversion that i'm building.
