so after getting into a discusion on the 240sxforums about why im not a huge fan of the RB30, i had a though of sticking one in a 67 Nova. first off, its just an idea, i dont have either the nove or the engine. and i dont think i'll be getting either anytime soon because old novas are worth a lot and the RB isnt high up on the demand list here in the states so importers are rushing to aussie land to snatch them up for us. but yeah, what do you guys think? domestic guys cant ***** because its a "domestic" engine anyway, i say domestic like that cause its used in GM cars. i just think it would look sick in a nova, especially with the cam gears showing and al nice polished tubing and such.

i would like to see it done

would be a race only car so wiring will be a piece cake

pretty much u would make your own wiring harness to run the motor

you can beef up susp on the nova pretty good and yeah the domestic guys would droll all over it

I can see it now...a Nova smoking a Mustang and all he can see is the sticker on the back of the Nova "Powered by Nissan".

Seriously Take and RB30DE and Modify a RB30E Supercharger to work with the DOHC setup and Boost the hell out of it! Talk about Torque.

hmmm, i dunno, from what the 240forums guys say, the RB30DET is the greatest engine ever, so i might have to go with that. although a better supercharger usng the RB30Es bracket would be pretty cool.

In a Nova you want all the Torque you can Get and a supercharger will Provide that Better than a Turbo Will. Unless you really Stroked the motor and used agressive cams for quicker spooling on a T-51+ Turbo you probably couldn't beat the torque a sc will provide you.

hey, at least somebody realizes that the motor isnt the best thing to come out of aussie land ;)

yeah, i know the nova isnt exactly lite, but i like the look and sound of turbo. however, a nice eaton blower on the intake mani would look pretty cool.

DO IT! DO IT!

I'd love to see it, it shouldnt be terribly difficult. Just gotta mount it up, hook up an SDS or something, and boost to an insane HP lvl.

Better boost it to at least 500hp or V8 boneheads will think your dumb for having a 6 cyl in a nova. Like anyone cares what they think anyway
