Hi, I am thinking of adding a RB30 (2WD) Stage 2 Complete RB30 forged engine block to my basket I already have in mind to go on my RB25DET head as I think its a option worth looking into. Would any of the mods in my basket now be irrelevant with the new block? and if so what else would I need to be doing for the RB30 block to work efficiently with my RB25det head?

My current basket includes;HKS fuel railGreddy oil cooler kitgizzmo boost contollerHKS twin plate clutch kit + flywheelTOMEI PONCAM RB25 R33(-97.9) NVCS camshafts Cam gearsECU power fc Z32 Airflow Meter Bosch 044 fuel pump Greddy Genuine Intake Plenum 600cc top feed Injectors GT3076R 56 Trim Turbocharger kitGreddy Trust MX Front pipe 3" MAGNAFLOW STAINLESS STEEL CAT CONVERTOR Coilovers swaybars castor rods

Already have on it a FMIC, Cat back exhaust, POD, turbo timer. thanks

all the parts listed will work with a RB30DET (RB25DET head)... the only part that will need modification in the list is the front pipe as the exhaust outlet of the turbo will be approx. 40mm higher up (toward the hood) and will need some cut and welding to extend that downpipe.

Same goes with any existing charge pipes; they as well may need some minor work.

600cc injectors and a 3076R will not be enough for a forged bottom end RB30. MAYBE if the 3076 had a large exhaust housing. The Z32 MAF will probably be short lived as well. At a minimum, go 35R.

So before you drop any money on an ECU, evaluate your power goals. Things aren't as straight forward as a MAP based system once the Z32 MAF sensor is maxed out.

Are you planning on keeping the VCT on the RB25 head or just blocking it off? If you are keeping it, the intake cam gear won't be necessary.

I'm not sure about Gizzmo electronics because their 2-step is awful. I'd invest in a decent boost controller. OR if you decide to keep the RB25 MAF setup, you can just get the Apexi boost controller kit that plugs right into the EMS.

Catalytic converter?? WTF for? LOL!

and with the injectors, make sure they if they are low independence that you have a resistor box , that you have to wire in the loom.

He's "down under" and they have some pretty strange modification rules for street cars and it sounds like the enforce them very strictly, so the cat is probably a good idea.

540-550hp @ 17-18psi the turbo is maxed out. assuming 7000rpm peak power & 7500rpm redline.full boost will be at a torque friendly 2800-3000rpm.I would taper the boost: 24psi form spool to 4000rpm tapering down to 18psi at 7000rpm tapering back up to 20psi at redline. torque will be flat 380-400ft/lbs from 3500rpm to redline.HKS boost controller can taper boost based on 5 way-points (rpm or VSS). pretty trick.

.... And with all that displacement I would get bigger valves and port work 25 heads built flow as much as stock 26 heads .... from what I hear
