i got a friend who is upgrating the t28 turbos of his GTR. the turbos are in a very very very good shape. and i can get one of them for only $250. now what i'd like to know is if this turbo is good for the ca18det. and what will be the pros/cons of it.how far can i go. because the rear is realy small. i know i'll get a fast spool, but i don't know how much psi it can take.

Common internet knowledge says that, due to the ceramic compressor wheel, 1bar is the most you can safely boost GT-R T28s.

I believe its a ceramic turbine wheel. Compressor wheels are usually made of aluminum. Either way, the A/R on the compressor housings aren't ideal for efficiency.

it depends what turbo it is.the gtr came with more then just one kind of turbos.i gota set of nismo turbos that came off a gtr rb26dett.now the skyline was a nismo skyline but the turbos didnt have the ceramic wheels like the other ones do.and also the front housing was changed to a hks housing.

If it's a standard GTR T28, I wouldn't bother. It's not worth the work.

what extra work is needed to get it to work, cause I've got the N1 turbo sitting on my desk, waiting to go on my CA once it arrives.

I only figured oil and water lines, and possibly clocking the compressor.

what else is there?
