so yah...will a turbo from a RB26 bolt onto a SR20 mani??? from what ive read theyre all GT28r turbos (like the S15 silvias) but do they share the same bolt patterns for the manifold?? friend of mine is gettin a RB26 soon and he plans on using his 60-1 turbo instead of the stock twin setup...i was thinkin bout buying one from him since its a much better turbo...DISCUSS ;)

Those turbos, IIRC, are smaller than SR turbos and will not produce the same hp. I do believe they bolt right up though.

They do bolt right up. They are actually pretty common turbos to use for drifiting. I do know a few of my buddies that swapped out the stock t25 for the GT-R's turbo as an upgrade. They are ceramic and ball bearing. Very nice.

Uhh they are smaller than the SR turbos... more like a CA sized turbo and only the 33's and 34's had BB turbos. Ceramic exhaust turbines aren't really better... in fact, most people dislike them.

Yup to what nismo_freak said. Ceramic compressor wheels have a problem with exploding due to centrifugal (or is it centripetal, can't recall which one) forces when run over about 15psi or so. The blades just can't stay together under that much outward rotational force.

why would the GTR turbos be smaller than the sr turbo. just doesn't make any sense.

Because there are two of them, and the engine has only 30% more displacement.
