So just for the sake of argument I could find one of these motors. how hard would it be into an s13? how bout an RB25DE? or are these just pipe dreams?

Hmm, not really sure where this should be moved to, I don't think it should be in All Motor though....I think I'll throw you over to general chat. : )

Also, as far as difficulty, it depends on who you have doing it and what kind of tools they have. There are some tricks, but it would be difficult to do on your own unless you have the proper tools and fabrication means. The wiring does not appear to be much more difficult than a SR20. I don't know about the RB25DE, but the DET will fit with a a skyline crossmember ( R32 for a S13, R33 for a S14 ), I'm not sure as to the custom work surrounding the RB26, I am pursuing the idea for my 240, but I will be using the RB25 transmission, I'm not even going to try to fit in the ATTESSA and the AWD. : )

It will be difficult, but no impossible. But it will be very expensive to have done. If/When I do it when my shop opens, I will be offering the swap, but the engine will need to be custom ordered and what not, so I'd need to know ahead of time and have cash on hand. : ) Enjoy your day!
