There shouldn't be too much an issue with the throttle cable. Just do a long gentle bend and let the cable rest atop the shock tower or something. At least it wasn't too short (that's what she said).
If what you mean by too long is the slack of the braided cable on the end to the start of the cable cover, then yes, you'll have to make either a bracket that spaces the gap out or add spacers in the line. In this situation, you would NOT want to put the bracket on the strut tower due to the strut tower being stationary while the motor can move about the engine bay during load changes. You want the throttle bracket mounted on the engine itself (even if it were long enough to extend to the strut tower). That way the cable and bracket would move with the engine, keeping the throttle opening the same regardless of load. The best thing to do here is to just get a BNR32 throttle cable.
Ok I just read "passenger drive" and now it just seems wonky. If what you mean is a left hand drive, then you'll probably do fine with a throttle cable out of an left hand drive S chassis cable.
