:help Hey, I'm new to the forum, but have been a fan of Silvia's for a while now, esp the S14. I just wanted to know what the price would be for a RB26dett Swap into a 96 240sx. Also I would like to know where to get this done. I'm from NY and I realize most likely I'm going to have to travel a ways to get this done so distance doesn't really matter. I would just lie honest opinions from the experts on this forum. THanks a lot

thanks for the help. So now I need to decide whether to travel to Arizona or Iowa. Iowa is a pretty straight drive, so I might be heading there this summer....

17 Hours for me mapquest said, but its about 1000 miles, so I say about 10 hours with 2 drivers..... still pretty far though. And has anyone actually swapped an RB26 into a 240 yet? I couldnt find anyone that using search, HOWEVER, i found someone that did the RB25 swap.

I am doing an rb25 into my 96 240, I know you have to do a single turbo conversion, and a few other things to make it work.

Well, lookie here. An RB26DETT in my 1996 240sx:

As far as cost, I've put about $15K into this install, but as you can see, no cost has been spared.

Hey, looks good. By the way, where are you from? You did the install yourself?

Yup, I did it all myself. I live in the land of milk and cheddar (i.e. WI).

That looks amazing! I would love to see a list of modifications done thus far (like cam duration, cam gears, any other internal work, type/manufacturer of intercooler, and etc.). Oh, and by the way, wouldn't your engine now be classified as an RB26DET? I squinted my eyes, and only see one turbo...

Well i dunno if he's telling everyone what he's doing, so i'll leave that to him...but its a very impressive setup, believe me! And its still a RB26, its still the GTR engine, its still Godzilla, weither its single turbo or not!
