You usually only buy a clip so you an be sure that you get all the harnesses for the engine with it and uncut cause its a pain to wire otherwise. If you can find just the engine with an uncut harness and ECU then I say go for it.

To put the motor in the car with best possible fitment you will need custom made motor mounts purchased from http://www.mckinneymotorsports.com . If you want to keep the twin turbos youll also need his touge down pipe.

AWD 240s will require tons of money and modifications, so instead people just buy the transmissions from a RB25 and keep the RWD layout.

The wiring I believe McKinney will do too. Gotta love em.

Other than that its the same as an RB25 to my knowlage, and theres a guide on how to do that stickied on the top of the boards.

I don't want to buy a crap motor, but I don't want to spend more money than I need to either. Anybody have any suggestions on good places to look?

I can help you out....the RB26DETT will not fit in any S series cars. The Rb25DET barely fits and thats only because we have modified the firewalls & moved the radiator support forward 3 inches to clear the turbo...with 2 turbos you will have to go at least 6 inches to clear the second turbo.

It's a ***** man but you gotta find a compatible pinkney flange for the down pipe or the dump pipe will never match up also.

I think in essence what I am trying to say is LAZINESS FALLS UNDER THE CATEGORY OF SLOTH......A DEADLY SIN IN THE WORLD AND ON THE FORUMS.

ITS EASIER TO TYPE "RB26DETT S13" INTO THE SEARCH FIELD THAN ALL OF THE TIME WASTING CRAP YOU JUST SPEWED.

Get off your ***, do some homework, and quit expecting "Mommy" to do everything for you. This is the real world and its time to handle your own business.

You have to understand that at least once a week some kid gets on here and expects every question they have to be answered for them. JonPowell is one of the best resources on this forum, and he is probably pretty sick up answering easy questions that have been discussed a million times over.

If you have really done your research, you wouldn't have even asked these questions because they have already been thorougly discussed on here in great detail.

I know what it is like to be a nooby, but that is why I spent months reading this and other forums before making my first post.

In case you didnt know, which you dont. I come from an EXTREME MILITARY BACKGROUND. I was out of highschool at 16 and in the recruiters office before I was 17. My father was 24 years in the Air Force and I probably spent mor time on military bases than you have been alive. Dont feed me that **** about the military, my father had to be snuck out of Iran in the middle of the revolution under a blanket in the backseat of a car. you dont see me whining about it. Yeah it sucks that you were in Iraq, but NO ONE put a gun to your head & made you enlist, you did that on your own KNOWING FULL WELL THE REPURCUSSIONS OF YOUR ACTIONS.

Now on to the subject at hand. The internet. For you this service of the forum is free, but for the NICO founders it costs money to host a website and it costs even more for them to have enough space on a server to host the same question 14 billion times....hence the search feature.

Now back to your military comment....the military also teaches you the importance of honesty, honor & integrity. If you had done your research, as NISMO RB25 stated you would not have asked if you should get the clip and how much it would cost. You would research the MANY nissan/RB forums and find the answers...they ARE out there. but I will make it simple, no sarcasm at all

RB26DETT into S13 will run you no less than $10,000 to do it right and worry free.

$5K clip~$1200 (unless you are lucky) RB25 trans$1100 McKinney mounts & driveshaft$ 500 McKinney downpipe~$180 water pump$350 Wiring service McKinney$140 timing belt$25 thermostat$13 spark plugs~$100 Miscellaneous fluids$100-$400 intercooler piping(maybe maybe not)$100 Walbro fuel pump$130 Nismo fuel pressure regulator$50 misc filters$120 decent air cleaner$250-$1300 clutch

Most of this came from http://www.mckinneymotorsports.com but you knew that, you did your research right?

Here's a post I made with some info on the RB26DETT changeover.

http://www.240sxforums.com/for...48599

There's a list of stuff you'll need.. and some information that might help you understand why we get pissed off when we come onto the forums everyday and see clueless people asking blind questions. Not that you're clueless.. but I'd questions whether you have what it takes to do it.

It's NOT something you want to do if you have no idea on electronics, mechanical principles, turbochargers, sensors, etc.

You have no idea how many idiots ask rediculous questions about the famed "RB26DETT".. and they're indeed rediculous. I could find 20 of them on NICO for you.

Alright, I know I said I wasn't going to post anymore, but I just wanted to make one last response.

First off, I want to apologize for not doing more searching through the forums before posting. I was unfamiliar with how forums work and I thought we were just supposed to throw questions out there. I know better now. =^D I never said I did ALL the research, only what I could get done in the week I've owned the car when I'm not at work, so I didn't mean to throw anybody for a loop when I said that I did some research.

I actually have been in the military my whole life, so I know what you're talking about JonPowell. My grandfather was in the Army in WWII, and my dad spent 22 years in the Army serving in Vietnam, Panama, the Domican Republic, and Desert Storm. The military has been part of my life since the day I was born. When I made the comments about the military, I wasn't complaining about it, because I have no regrets about my decision to enlist.

And finally, thanks again for the info. JonPowell I have no doubts whatsoever that you know your stuff, which is why I came on the forum in the first place, to meet people like you that know a lot about the topics discussed here. Anyway, I'll be doing a lot more searching in the forums instead of posting. Thanks for your help JonPowell and everybody else (no sarcasm).
