Just wondering if anyone knows of any sites or fourms where i can find out more info on tuning/modding the RB26DETT. There's only a few guys on this site that have any experience with the engine and i'd like to find out more about what this engine can handle and what mods should be done when. Kinda like the SR FAQ but for the RB26. Thanks.

sorry to chime in but it seems that the guy has the wrong engine code, it looks in the pics that it's a supra engine

Actually my friend Junior's 240 has been on the streets for a few months now. He's running a R33 RB26dett and gearbox. Very fast car!

:oface No smart guy, he bypassed the 4wd from the gearbox (you have to build a blocker plate or something) and from the RB26 ecu also. If i'm not mistaken, a GTR is an electronically controlled 4wd car, is it not?

Yea, the car does have a 2jz-gte in it. Those pics are very old though, and I remember when he sold his supra engine (or at least attempted to) on the supra forum. He had plans to remove the 2jz and put in the rb26. This was a few months ago, and he hasn't updated the pics since. His 2jz 240 was making around the same power, so I don't know why he did it. Maybe weight? Anyways, thats my $0.02

I'm pretty sure he had to change to an engine of the same manufacturer so he could compete in the class he wanted to.
