yo. Got a question... I am interested in putting a RB26DETT in a S14. With stock turbos, the engine looks like it will barely fit. Seeing as how I wish to get bigger turbos (HKS, nonetheless), I fear that the engine won't fit and I won't be able to kill myself with insane amounts of horsepower (with my driving habits...'Dead Man walking' best describes the end result)... However, my Yukari driving not being the point here... Will i need to have modifications made to the engine by to fit the RB26 or will it be fine?

Ok, well im not sure if your asking ONLY if the there will be fitment issues in the engine bay, or if this is going to lead to more questions about the rb26 swap.

Either way, I can tell you that everyone here is going to tell you the same thing.

Search.

It will fit fine, but please don't ruin another 240 with your "dead man walking" kind of driving.

To be honest, if you are asking a question like this I highly doubt your driving skills are high enough to handle an rb26 powered s-car. Also, it will take a metric f*ck-ton of cash to do it. Rock the KA for awhile first, its more than enough to kill you anyways so atleast you won't trash the car, your wallet and a perfectly RB all at once; just the car.

awww, Why does everyone always pick the RB26 to be there noob post engine. OK, it will all fit. If your really not sure search for some S-chassis with RB26 swaps done and look at there setups, they all fit. HKS turbos, money money! Whole swap=$$$$. Do the swap if you want, But I would rather have you do an RB25 or 20 instead. research those or read the RB sticky and you'll see why. But don't drive like a tard. That's one of the dumbest things you can do. I'm not going to get into a lot of reasons but if you hit a car with a baby in it or kill some one, or hell damage another 240 owners ride. You could be a "dead man"....walking. So be careful and read the stickys in the RB sections and then if you have any questions I'll gladly try to answer.

OK. Thanks for the info. I promise that I will not drive like a tard. However, it only goes without saying that Mustangs, Civics, and anyone with brass balls who thinks they can take me will be PWNED!!! Outside of that, I will behave myself.... I think I can handle behaving myself behind the wheel of an RB-powered S-body... ... no, seriously... I won't do anything stupid... I am already aware of how much this project will set me back... not planning on adding body work in he equation... Thanks for all the help...

Good to hear, also, it is an expensive swap. So if I where you I'd keep the RB pretty stock for awhile. That's what my friends doing and he's planning on doing the same swap except really light mods. I belief a stock RB26 can take a stock STI so you should be having fun with it out of the box. Still, read the RB stickys and I'm happy to hear you'll be driving responsibly.

hey man, why dont you try learning to post an educated post? use some correct grammar, im not perfect but i dont talk like i just watched the whole fast and the furious series. its not about street racing. There is a whole section on the RB series engine, go there and ask your stupid @ss questions. It would've taken you a whole 5 minutes to search and find this answer instead of wasting our time.

next time just lock it.

omegahunterbass, just search. expect a $10,000+ swap JUST to get the 26 in and running. upgrades are no problem but now you are talking another SEROIUS amount of money for custom manifolds and downpipes. its not worth it other than for show. a cheaper engine will get you the same power for 1/3rd the price.

p.s. street racing is gay. they invented racetracks for a reason. use them please.

thank you.
