Well a very good friend of mine sourced me a r33 GTR clip for cheap. I cant even talk about the price, or who it is, so dont ask ;) . so I have a couple questions before i decide to get this clip or not.

1) RB25DET transmission. how much do they cost, does anyone have one for sale?

2) would a rb20 transmission be OK on the GTR motor? im not going for 800whp just a couple small upgrades. maybe 400-450

3) MCKINNEY (grumpy or mack): when will the kit be done for the GTR swap!!!

4) should i go for it? nobody has a rb25 clip in stock and this kinda fell on my lap the other night for a VERY GOOD PRICE.

ANY ADVICE IS APPRECIATED!! because i dont know what to do lol.

Kamin, that sounds bad *** man. a 26 would be fun to have, I got a 25 on the way. I really don't know the answers to most of your Q's accept that there is another thread about an RB20 transmission on a 26.. I think that is may be a little weak for a GTR engine... but you'd need to ask madscientist or meggalla or WD, someone in Japoan who'd know

Yea thats mostly why i posted because Nico dosent have PM's.

and i am hearing from a couple friends that people have removed the rear transfer case (for the front wheels) make an adapter plate to bolt in its place, and you have a 6 speed RWD transmission.

i am scouring the internet right now trying to find out if this is true but no luck, anyone know anything about that?

Can you get more of the clips cheap? I'd get one if it was a good deal. Also I think you need a rb25det oilpan or a modify it. Also I believe Meggala said the rb20det is really only good to 400rwhp.

I wouldn't trust the rb20 transmission for that much power, I think it might even share some parts with ka transmission. You need an rb25 transmission, an A-31 crossmember, custom steering linkage or single turbo conversion, and driveshaft. LSD is a good idea too (don't beleive your parents).
