Well, it has happened. The legendary RB26DETT is back in production and the price seems pretty fair.

Also from the article:
Nismo is also reproducing the original engine harness and fuel pump assembly. And for the body, new roof and three-quarter panels will be available as well.
I'm not sure about you guys, but this news made me extremely happy.

I read this earlier and its kinda nuts... The cost associated with re-launching an engine and re-doing all of the quality checks and tweaks is pretty nuts.

It's only 3200 for a brand new block and head... Then of course, the obvious import fees and figuring out a chassis code to actually order the thing from Nissan Japan. I'm guessing some enterprising person would offer to get one for twice that.

Would be interesting to pick one up. Not sure what I would put it in, or how easy it would be to get one stateside.
RB26DETT in a Polaris? Hmmmmm. Improbable to say the least.
