umm... yes... you can, but you need an adapter and a different spline clutch, no one makes it. its not worth the time or effort for that extra gear besides the vq35de transmission is not as strong as the rb25 or vg30dett transmission...

Sil240, if you're really able to make adapter plates and and custom clutches, why not spend your time on a t-56 adaptor. Don't get much stronger than that for a manual transmisson. Plus they cheap and readily available from plenty of cars.

Nah just go with a 2 speed powerglide... this way you only have to up shift once lol are you looking for the 6 gear for intersate travel or just want it? what is the car going to be used for drag or DD ?

I'm biased for the T-56 after owning a LS1 T-56. I beat the crap out of that transmission with close to 400rwhp and it never missed a beat.

Plus I loved the 6th gear for crusing gas mileage. And paying 800-1000 bucks for a used high mileage RB25 transmission is ridiculous. I can get fully rebuilt t-56s for that price.

I'm not sure why the OP wants the 350z 6-speed though, as I haven't read anything about their strength being anything to brag about.

Thats actually a really good idea.I don't make them myself but if someone was actually serious about it, I can have it done for them. I would just need a bell housing, maybe a flywheel and input shaft dimensions (but i can get that)

i had my r34 rb25det trans rebuilt at a shop, and the guy said it was a pretty diesel transmission. Beefier than everything he usually deals with, including the T-56. I dunno if thats a fact or not, but it was one person's opinion... I do agree that the 25det trans is way overpricd though cuz of the market.

Well for a drag racer the conversion kit would be worth it but for a normal Joe really wouldn't beCause it'd be the adapter plate, Custome flywheel, Custom clutch and the cost of a T56 trans and probably a driveshaft (dont know if the yoke is the same)But it could hold tons o power thoughHuge PP, larger Disc, smooth engagement and tons o torque capacity all in one little box
