Are you using the 25 transmission? If so you can get a driveshaft from mckinney or have one made at a driveshaft shop.

Another nOOb going in blindfolded.

It's RB26DETT.

REASERCH !!! ALL THE INFO IS HERE !!! Of course you can't use the GTR driveshaft.. the engine isn't designed to even be in this car.

The answer to your question is... you will need to use the RB25DET transmission and a custom driveshaft (this can be bought from mckinney, or custom made)

its funny really. he is gonna be telling all his friends "**** dawg im gonna be getting a twin turbo skyline engine ya herd!" and all his friends will go "daaaaaammmmnnn! that **** is Ill yo!" then he gets the engine, starts doing research about the swap (after he bought the engine) and realizes its not as simple as it sounded on paper.

evilvamp, dont take any of that personally. just making a generalizatoin about the bazillions of times that question has been asked because people are too lazy to research their own projects.

I will defend him because he is a texan too.

When I started looking around there was a lot of miss information about what would and wouldn't work. for the rb20 you can use the KA or RB driveshaft for example, but not everyone knows that.

I have never seen anyone on this forum say that with the rb26 using the 25 transmission that you have to get a customer driveshaft, but I could be wrong. It is a pretty rare swap that not alot of people talk about or have information about.

With all that said, SEARCH is always the key to any project, and people need to stop being lazy and asking the already answered questions.

I vote for immediate BAN of ignorant nOOb's.

No mercy.

I just saw the new thread about RB26 parts, and now agree with you.

Kill them all and let god sort them out!

FYI anytime a RB25 transmission is used, a custom driveshaft is needed. the yokes and length are different.
