I like the polish surge tank w/ the powder coated valve covers myself.

Polish the manifold. It'll look awesome.

I polished the "twin turbo" pipe on mine (see avatar) and it looks awesome. For the valve covers I just wetsanded and repainted them black. I'll be doing a new center piece out of carbon fiber soon.. should look spiffy.

Nameless, you said that YOU are doing one out of CF soon. Do you use prepregs and have an autoclave, vacuum bag system and all the other gizmos? Or do you lay it up by hand and wet it with something like West epoxy and let it air harden?

I'd be interested to know if anyone does CF parts without autoclaving them.

I would do it by wet layup. No bagging or infusion since I don't have a pump yet. Just make a mold, wet it down and lay it in there n' wait.

I am working onit now with the vacuum bagging system, no autoclave though....just a 160 degree paint booth.

Seems the mold making process is a little of a ***** though.

How do you make the mold? Fiberglass layup on the original valve cover?
