the 26 turbo's are smaller than the sr t25 if i'm not mistaken. Go with something bigger. I went the t25 route for my first setup and all it does is make you want more....so just start with more.

If you 'must' go with a T2 flange, the price differences between a T25 and a T28 aren't really big enough to warrant going with a smaller turbo. Even the 2.0L SR guys upgrade a T25 to something bigger, so imagine what it's going to do with your bigger 2.4L.

Start with something you'll be more likely to stay happy with, either a T28 or if you haven't purchased a manifold yet, look into something with a T3 flange...

That turbo would make you lose power off boost because it's a restriction, then you'd gain power for about 3 psi then you'd get what's known as exhaust gas reversion. This is when the exhaust is so restrictive that it can't scavenge out of the cylinder head and flows backwards cause loss in power at the least and severe detonation at the worst.

T3+ is where I always put my money, unless you are buying a GT spec turbo...but they are $1200+ and what I woulod consider a total waste since they won't make anymore power then a $350 T3/TO4...

I was only looking for about 200hp and I am on a budget. I was going to go with a t3 but would cost to much for a good brand. What brand cost $350? Thanks for the advice.

You would be happy with a t3 super 60. You can get them used, they are the z31 turbos.

I know people who have used them, they also come with a 1 year warranty. No EBay turbo has a warranty...
