yeah! my kind of guy!Wulfgang wrote:Looks like they brazed a cover to the transmission case hole where they cut off the fwd output section. Cheap, IMO. Should've had it welded or at least used an aluminum braze.
Personally, I'd have used JB weld, but then I'm too cheap to buy an RB26 anyway
the rb26 transmission is worth probably less than what shipping costs in the US. its a strong transmission but no one wants to do the work to convert it/make it fit.Nismochick240 wrote:hey i didn't think you could use the rb26 transmission... what i thought was that you can buy the 26 motor but you have to use the rb25 transmission... (which will be direct bolt-on) since ebay is selling it buy the rb26 w/ transmission... sell the transmission (prolly be worth more than the rb25) and use the rb25 transmission w/ the 26 motor....
like i said, if it was running good, it wouldnt have gotten turned into a clip and sold in one piece74260zt wrote:That whole discreption of the motor and trans smells real bad.... for one, how do you put a extra gear in a 5 spd trans? (its not the 6 spd box BTW)
Also, he said it twice in capital letters " I WAS TOLD " about the parts that were used in the build. To me, all I see is a, prolly a R32, clip that is no different than most, except for the few extras you can see with your own eyes, like the fuel rail, turbo/header, oil cooler, I.C, fuel pumps, and a tach thrown up on the dash for looks.... that ain't worth no $12,000.....
Yea I got one but its in my 240 . Theres some work involved in getting it in there. I wounder how well the rb25 would bolt up to the rb26 trans bell housing. The rb26 pan has bolts that go to the trans bell housing... Probably would be missing some bolts down there.krayton wrote:
