Swapping my rb26dett into a 1995 240sx.

I am looking at both the 300plus.net diagrams and the ehacker01's diagram and neither of them match my harness. Its an r33 rb26.

If I look at the series 2 diagram (300plus.net) I have a red wire coming out of the number 4 pin. I do not have a black/blue wire in the number 25 pin. I don't have any wires coming out of the 33 or 34 pins. I also have a green/white wire coming out of the 45 pin.

If I look at the series 1 diagram (ehacker01) I'm supposed to have a wire coming out of pin 8 which on my harness is empty. Out of 41 - 44 I have no wires where I should have 4. And I do not have a wire coming out of 47 where I should.

I am just wondering why I am having so many errors. I have been told that the rb26 has the same pinout as the rb25 too.

i used the series 2 to s14 for my r33 rb26 and i got all my info from this http://racebread.com/old/files.htmli used the 300plus writeup and the lower harness prep. but to let you know in advanced the rb wiper harness doesnt work you have to us the ka wiper harness if you want your wipers to work.

What do you mean with the wiper harness? Like just the connectors or the whole harness needs to be wired up seperately?

Also did you have any weird wires in your harness like I do? I am just wondering if this is the right harness, because it was not connected to the motor when i got it.

I would say either your reading the wires wrong or the harness is not for your motor.Have you matched it up with the sensors on the motor?

I wrote up that part of the writeup and my wipers work, so I know for a fact that the RB wiper harness can be used if you swap in the KA plugs.

Sorry to bring back this zombie thread but does anybody have the r33 rb26dett s14 write up that used to be on racebread? Also, I have a rb26 wiring harness that was used in an s13, should it be fairly easy to convert it over for an s14? Thanks

i wired my wipers exactly the way the writeup had em and they didnt work right on my s14. so then i called mack mckinney and he said you have to gut the wiper harness out of the ka harness and put it in the rb harness loom and thats what i did and everything works perfectly. and it didnt take long at all since the ka harness was already out of the car.

If you have an already converted harness for s13 looking at diagrams IMO will confuse you more especially if you are not familiar with wiring. The nice thing is that since it was wired for s13 there's two plugs you are going to have to mess with realistically (other than gauge related wires, those will be on the plug by the ecu). A grey and a brown plug which normally go to the s13 fuse box will contain all the wires that need to get your motor running. Most of the wires require a switched ignition source, the ecu requires one constant power for memory and the fuel pump wire you can just run to a relay as ground and hardwire your fuel pump since its a good mod anyways. If you look up a s13 sr20det swap you should be able to figure out what the plugs would normally power which should help.

As far as hooking them up you can either peel back the harness and run these two plugs near you ecu to wire them up to the F3 plug or get a little creative and just power them in the engine bay. Its aslo a good time to wire it up like a race car switch system so you activate coils, ecu power, ignition.... take offffffff.... LOL i did my z like that cuz I like switches and relays for some reason.
