Why dont you do what YOU want?

This topic has been discussed to death, just do a search and research all the engine choices yourself. The right engine for you is very dependent on power goals, weight goals, how deep your wallet is, etc.

why wouldn't it be worth it? if youre looking for hp levels of upwards from 500-1khp/tq+. theres always ls1s chevy 350s, ahem 427s and u know anything else out there. it's all about preference/reliability/budget etc.

and the question is do you even have the money... not questioning you or anything but if i had a big sum of money lying around i'd spend more time doing things than asking questions.

if ur thinking of rb you're probably thinking more of a highway killer or drag car. running 10s-11s or lower. otherwise there would be no real use unless you're looking for serious low end power because srs can do 12s-13s and kas can also.

oh yeah lug nuts don't require that much torque. you're probably over tightening it which is not good.

any motor i pick im gonn have to save for so i would like to save for somthing worth it not what i could get the money for the fastest, so the low end tq is better on the sr and ka then the rb? as for the lug nuts its not that im over torquing, its the point that honda torque sucks

I only torque my wheels to 90 ft-lbs , and i know a honda has a little more than that.

But i think i would go with the rb. It would be the best route since you have to save your money anyway.

Nope, no 6 speed on rb25s unless you mate up some transmission that wasn't intended to be on the car.

1999. 1 : NISSAN announced the release of the 7th generation of Silvia, the S15. The S15 is a rear-wheel-drive sports coupe, powered by Nissan's SR20DET; a 2.0 litre in-line 4 cylinder turbocharged engine with air-to-air intercooler that delivers a power output of 250 horsepower that results in a power-to-weight ration of less than 5Kg/PS. The S15 has a new 6-speed close-ratio gearbox for improved acceleration and features a specially tuned exhaust system characterized by a powerful sound at low engine speeds and a liner increase at high engine speeds.

2000. 7 : AUTECH announced that it releases the Silvia Convertible Varietta. The Silvia Convertible Varietta comes with the first fully opening power metal top to be featured on a domestic convertible. The top raises and lowers in about 20 seconds, driven by an electric motor that is operated by an instrument panel switch. The Silvia Convertible Varietta adopts 2+2 interior packaging with comfortable seating for 4 passengers.

2000.10 : The L-package and the Type-B are added to the Silvia line-up. The L-package includes exclusive interior features (under instrument panel, vent grille, silver meter, inside door handle, shift finisher, and aluminium pedals) for silver/silver colour scheme and black/silver leather seats to create a sporty interior ambience. It also comes with remote control entry system and fog lamps. The Type-B is a custom base model.

2002. 1 : The V-package is introduced. The V-package models are based on the Spec-R/Spec-S featuring exclusive front seats, 1DIN type MD/CD player, privacy glass, and High Intensity (H.I.D.) Xenon headlights.

FYI:

Believe it or not, my old 1991 Civic DX made only 89ft-lbs at the flywheel new (D15B2 throttle-body injection motor). Who knows what it made at the wheels 13 years old when I sold it.

No. The AWD transmission has internals that mate up to a center differential built into the back side of the transmission.

If you cut up your tunnel to allow fitment for the AWD transmission, and "plugged" the front driveshaft hole, you could use it perfectly fine. But why do YOU want 6 gears? Do you NEED it, or do you want to have it just to say that you have it?

Most, if not all RB26 swappers use the RB25 RWD transmission. A handful have used the AWD transmission using the method above. And others have bought automatic GM race transmissions and use an adapter plate.

This topic is better off in the RB section of this website. But don't even think about posting it their because we/they will rape you if you do. This topic is SO over-asked in SO many forums, just do a google search and save yourself the trouble/agony that people will cause you here.

Sorry to be so mean and blunt about it, but I am just saving you the hassle and embarrasement when other "not so nice" people chime in.....

I say go for it! why not its a sweet motor and it will be something that will impress some people.

But, if you wants to save some pennys then stick with the KA and take the money you were going to spend o the engine and put it toward the one you got now.
