Rb26 swap ?

Ive been searching around about mounts for the swap....and i keep coming accross ppl saying they used the r33 crossmember and mounts? does this really work? i think i read they cut the stock insulator down about an inch to get hood clearance and drilled holes a little farther back on the crossmember to move the motor back

You can use the r33 gts crossmember, it bolts right up to the s14 chassis. As for engine mounts I went into the 240 forums and used the write up about how to make your own engine mounts. I set the motor in the engine bay and figured out my desired height the made my mounts to those specifications.

yeah but im using an s13 chassis....so is my only option mckinney or tophat mounts?

Syko makes a kit for the r33 cross member with custom mounts they provide.

just run the mckinney mounts there actually alot cheaper then syko and there really good quality and you can use your stock cross member.http://www.mckinneymotorsports.com

I have seen tophat mounts and they seem to be very cheaply made. You can use the r33 gts crossmember in an s13 also.
