Alright, i am no Newb to the Rb world....i have done a rb20 swap and rb25 swap into my friends s13.....On my previous s13 i ran Ka-t and made good power.....now i got my hands on a 91 nissan silvia which had a blown Sr20 and a Ka was swaped in so it is driveable.....this is my project car and im playin with the idea of a rb26 swap.....my main question is, would it be cheaper to put in my car since its RHD then into a normal 240? would totally eliminate the downpipe and oil line issue correct? Also wiring shouldnt be too difficult, dont have to extend the 2 maf wires....

just wanting to know

yea you pretty much got it you can buy a normal down pipe and slightly modify it to line up to the silvia exhaust and the wiring doesnt have to be leangthen at all.

It was somewhere in the 78 cents US to every 1 australian.

Not 100% sure on subframe. However looking at the subframe and the stock downpipes it doesnt appear to get in the way of anything since subframe is below the engine. I think the part that gets in the way on LHD is the steering column not subframe. mounts might make a diff 2.

oh and the price u will save on the having RHD already compared to LHD swapped rb26 is prolly not going to make a big diff in the long run. kinda like what is infinity plus 1? infinity. thats calculus for u. lol

good luck with swap if u decide to do so.

im going to go ahead with the swap because i have unlimited time to finish it....its a project car that is just sittin there and needs a good motor.....and i got the money for it at this point in my life.....Ill try to document the install with pics and prices to compair it to LHD swaps.....

maybe we can get a sticky out of my swap for detailed instructions
