Hello Everyone I am having a hard time with my car, it idles great but the thing is it idles high at 1400rpms after its warm.
Not sure how to lower the idle to 900rpms
If you try to go over 4k while driving it wants to like die or it will die.
When your going to about 3k-3.5k and go to change gears the car bugs down and rpms go down and like it wants to die.
Not sure if it might be a leak but I have checked that and try to change the idle with IAC Valve with no luck its all the way down on the idle
Checked vacuum and boost leaks but really couldn't find anything and think I covered most hoses. Intercooler hoses seem to be tight and no leaks but not sure how to check for leaks on intercooler pipe not sure if that would cause the car to have a high idle ?? its a stock rb26 with stock rb26 ecu and hardness

I do not know very much about an RB26, so I can't help you with your idle or revving issues. However, I made a little tool to help check for boost leaks that was very handy when troubleshooting problems.

Go to a hardware store and find a short piece of PVC pipe that the coupler for the intake on your turbo fits over. Also buy a cap for the PVC pipe. Glue the cap on the PVC. Now drill and tap the cap so you can screw an air fitting in to it. Use thread tape or whatever you need to do to make sure the fitting is air tight.

Replace your intake with the PVC pipe. Using a regulated air line, turn the pressure down to 10psi or so. Plug an air hose into the fitting on the pipe, and this will pressurized the IC piping revealing any leaks. You can then open the throttle plate to pressurize the intake manifold and find if anything there is leaking too.

Hope that helps.
