Hey, I don't want to be a naysayer or anything, but.... NO WAY.

Those R1's are supposed to do just over 10 secs in the 1/4 mile, bone stock. Even a heavily modded RB26 S14 can't do that without slicks, no interior, etc.... and then it's not much of a street racer, is it?

Let's face it. Even my Ninja 250R (only $3k brand new) could beat most modded 240SX's up to at least 60 mph. Any serious sport bike with 600+ cc's will toast almost anything else on the road.

I agree. I just have an R6 and it will still take on almost any vehicle I have raced on the road. I took it to the track a few times and my best time is an 11.9 at 116mph, and that is just with a slip on and a drag radial. Hell, my best friend has an 04 R1 and he is doing 10.6 at 121mph.

I am not knocking you are calling you a liar, I am just stating that this R1 probably started out in 6th gear or something like that lol....

And unless that R1 was custom painted, NO R1s came yellow from the factory. Any proof to that being an R1?

You guys are some goof ballz... first of all... how could i be a liar?... I didn't record the race... i don't know the background of either vehicle... If you pause and the video the bike looks like an r6.. well the headlights do anyways... and how can you people say that it's not likely to beat an r1? there's videos on this very forum that have cars beating or atleast keeping up with 600cc and 1000cc bikes... i recently just watched a supra take out an r1 in the multimedia forum... and i know... it's a surpa... 3.0liter has an upgraded single turbo blah blah blah... but you could very well mod. a rb26dett powered s14 enough to spank 90% of the cars on the road.Like i said before... i don't know the history or mods or even who the hell these guys are... i just found the video earlier today and thought you all would enjoy it as much as i did... for F*cks sake lighten up

I know that guy he owns his own shop and yea its in florida the rb26 has a single turbo that is massive I met him at moroso he is a jamican man. that car is sick he ran a 12.8 at like 130 somthing but didnt florit in fisrt and about half way through 2nd and he hit it ! trust me that is a r1 that he is racing!

well he said right in the post he didn't floor it in first and part of second... 12.8 and trapping a 10sec 1/4, meaning that turbo got his butt going top end. The ledgibility of the race just got approved. Nice video

take it from an avid biker. a stock super sport bike (even a 600) will crush nearly any modded car if the rider knwos what he's doing. i mean on power to weight ratio alone you'd need over 800hp to come CLOSE.. now i'm not saying it's impossible, but yeh, do the math and in a perfect world it'd take at LEAST 800-900 hp in a car that weighs 2200 lbs in order to beat a stock supersport.

have you ever seen the twin turbo corvette they had in car and driver a few years back? i believe it was either making 725 or 825hp...it did 0-60 in 1.9, not a typo either....0-100-0 in 8 secs....i dont remember it all, but it was pretty sick, though i do remember that the article featured it versus a fa/18 hornet fighter jet.....not saying cars are better than bikes or vice versa, just an interesting thought....
