Ok, I know this is probably a question that's been beat to hell, but I can't find any info on modifying the rb26 oil pan. I've found info scattered all around, but no definitive info such as a guide on where to cut and the measurements. I read that it has to be modified to clear the sway bar, is this only for the skyo mounts? I plan on using the mckinney kit.

you have to cut off the diff and grind down the webings on the bottom of the pan for subframe clearance and then you have to have some aluminum bar stock and machine it down to size and pressed into the two holes where the axle used to go thru and tig weld it in.

hope this helps you out with your project.

i have the mckinney mount for sale BTW ... it was in my car with my rb26

i was using the rb26 pan with the diff and axle canceled !!! just like HxC

if you want to run a sway bar ... sikky.com make one that will be bolt on ... or if you have a stock or after market swaybar that was made for the s14 with SR/KA ... you will need to notch the front of your oil pan

Hey Mr_Nissan,

Our s14 swaybar will have no clearance issues with the RB26 swap. That would be a solid and easier way to provide clearance for this swap. Check them out on our site:
