Ok, please read my whole post before flaming...

Just got to Okinawa about a month ago and I've tracked down a RB26 for 2k. Got to hear it run and everything so i put a deposit down and will be picking it up later this week. I'm grabbing a Rb25 transmission, cross member, crank pulley, and power steering pump. I already know about the mount kit (i will be going with Syko), down pipe issues, wiring and tach work. I'm getting the full wiring harness, ECU, all sensors and everything. I'm also getting the resistor pack for the injectors. Then there's all the stuff to be purchased down the road, water & oil pumps, timing belt, tensioner, idler, all new gasket set, so on and so forth.

My question is, Am i forgetting anything? I've been searching here and just general google searches all afternoon, and off and on the past few weeks. I feel like I'm missing something. I just want to be able to get everything i need while it's still easy (guy still has original car).

Thanks in advance for all help received. BTW, searching on google for stuff on NICO is a lot better than NICO's search function...

Just wondering, why wouldn't you go with the RB26 transmission? I think it's bulletproof and all that good stuff.

The rb26 transmission is awd. It's a lot simpler to just put in the rb25. Something to add on your list is E-Fans or find a way to use the stock fan clutch ( best option imo)

Are you going to put the RB25 oil pan on the motor? or cut up the stock 26 oil pan? get some rod bearings and change out the ones in there now since you will have the oil pan off. You never know how that motor was treated before you got it.

if you're gonna do that be sure to fit ARP rod bolts...reusing stock bolts is a risk; they're also the weak link in the stock bottom end.

Driveshaft, oil pan mod (25 or 26), pound in transmission tunnel around starter, bov, intercooler and piping, plugs, block off power steering pump rear pressure port, etc etc etc....

OK, so i got some more torn apart, and got a nice little surprise! HKS adjustable cam gears!

So, out of curiousity, i took the rocker covers off to see if maybe it had aftermarket cams already... I spent a significant amount of time at work today trying to find pictures of stock cams to see if that's what i have, but no dice. I see that Tomei cams have the same "wave" grooves in them, but i dont see any markings on my cams what so ever. can anybody shed some light on this?
