Nick.. a rod has no possible way to increase the stroke in the motor... It can simply offset the piston TDC point up or down.The CRANK however will stroke the motor... and with a stock bore I believe it goes to about a 2.2
BoostsFed, from what I understand the rb26 rods are much thicker and forged so there would definately be a good reason to use them. However if you are using the rb20 crank I think they are going to be a little to short and you will end up with too much deck height. Basically what I am saying is check the rod length between the 2 rods... If its not the same then u cant use them.
