I believe it strokes it to a 2.1 or 2.2L

Maybe that's only with the rb26 crank?

Nick.. a rod has no possible way to increase the stroke in the motor... It can simply offset the piston TDC point up or down. The CRANK however will stroke the motor... and with a stock bore I believe it goes to about a 2.2

BoostsFed, from what I understand the rb26 rods are much thicker and forged so there would definately be a good reason to use them. However if you are using the rb20 crank I think they are going to be a little to short and you will end up with too much deck height. Basically what I am saying is check the rod length between the 2 rods... If its not the same then u cant use them.

Yeah my bad I was in a hurry yesterday and wasn't thinking.

Our stock units are already forged I believe, just the pistons that really suck. But if you have it apart and wanna upgrade why not right?

too bad the 26 crank doesn't come around easily.

i'm really debating on getting another rb20 long block....bore out to ~82mm & drop some forgies in there. or get a rb25det block and forged internals instead.

definately the latter will yield more power, since the 25 already got the torque grunt.
