I have an RB26 and I am removing the oil pump but for some reason it will not come off. I have removed all the bolts on the face of it and the 5 bolts that go through the oil pan into the oil pump. The pump will move an 1/4 inch out but it will not come completely out. Could there be something in the oil pan holding it and has anyone else had this problem? Any help is appreciated.

you do realize that on any nissan motor the pan has to come off to pull the oil pump out, right?

If you don't have a copy of the full-service manual (FSM) you should find one. They are all over the internet.

Glad to find out that my crank collar is 16mm instead of the 7mm one.
