I just cleaned my Air temp sensor because it was caked with crap and reading 0, now my reading according to my Nistune is 42 degrees C at idle. Is that normal range or should I still consider buying a new one?

Sounds a bit high, but what is the ambient air temp there?

Sounds like you need another one. 48F vs 42C (102F) is a huge difference. During a cold start without the engine warmed up, the temp at the sensor should be about the same as ambient air temp.

I don't really understand the point of the temp sensor on the 26. Once the engine is warm, the temp sensor reads relatively hot compared to ambient conditions no matter what because the intake manifold is so hot. Mine reads similar to Ghost's.
