im tryin to hook up a single q45 maf to my twin gtr maf set up, i used a voltage meter to figure out which wire is which on the r32 gtr maf clips, correct me if im wrong, so looking into the connector of the gtr clips from left to right, pin 1 12v, pin 2 ground, pins 3 ground, pin 4 sig, pin 5 not used.

is this correct? if so can i splice the 4 grounds together and run them into the q45 ground, hook up both the 12v to the q45 maf and the twin sigs to the single q45 sig output? would this be possible? im going to use this set up as a blow thru set up on my cold side of the i/c,

any help would be very helpful!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that's not going to be much of an upgrade. might even be a downgrade running a single Q45 vs 2 gtrs. just fyi a single q45 can't even meter as much air flow as a single z32. also, your ECU will think you are flowing twice as much air as you really are since you are duplicating the signal. you need to run a divider circuit or something, but even that is ghetto. IMO best solution is to buy a MAP based ecu if you want to clean up the intake side.

to give a update, i cut the twin gtr mafs out of there housings and installed them into a 4inch aluminum tube, 180 deg of eachother after my intercooler, so there in a blow thru set up now, i messed with the fuel with the neo, and watching the afm % at wot at 22psi the mafs never go above 80% so thats good, car is running great and the intake side infront of the turbo is clean!

so what does that have to do with a q45 maf?

you are still metering the same air twice. with what you described you might as well just put one sensor in there and duplicate the signal. but whatever floats your boat. if you have a good enough EMS you should be able to calibrate your maf voltage to whatever flow you want by changing the housing diameter. what are you tuning this with?

i wired up the q45 mafs in and ran it as a blow thru set up, maxxed out, i thought the q45 metered more air (should of searched) but went back to stock twin mafs in a blow thru set up, works great, if someone includes a email ill send them pics of how i set up the blow thru for the mafs and the tube i used
