RB26 Knock(Detonation) Sensor Wiring

Ok, I am am currently installing an RB26 into an S14.

The wiring was all done by McKinney, however, it seems that they did not take the knock/detonation sensor harness out of the lower RB harness and install it onto the S14 lower harness, which I am using.

I am taking Jon Powell's and Carl H's advice and using the KA lower harness so everything will work. From what I can see, almost everything matches up, I just have to extend the starter and alternator wires and add in the knock sensor wiring.

But this brings me to my question. Where does the grey plug for the knock sensor wires plug into or go to? I haven't check out the upper harness yet that I got back from McKinney. I know that I have both the male and female parts of that knock sensor plug, so I don't think that it has been installed on the main upper harness from McKinney.

Do I have to run these wires manually to the ECU or what? Thanks all.

And just for clarification, which knock sensor (the one in front or rear) is referred to as Knock sensor 1 and Knock sensor 2?

the connection point for the knock sensor subharness is on the upper harness. you do not have to run the wires to the ecu, just remove the knock sensor wiring from the skyline lower harness and plug them into the upper harness. and i belive knock sensor 1 is at the front of the engine, 2 is at the rear.

If your harness was complete when we did the re wire the KNOCK sensor are already there........see the answer above by Kamin
