so just a quick question here....

i remember reading a while ago that the stock rb26 plenum causes the rear cylinder(s) to run leaner than the rest. t/f?

p.s.

could a good tune on a pfc fix this problem?

It isn't true. The rear always runs hotter than the front based on it's coolant design.

ah i see.

if the coolant channels in the block are bored out slightly, could that fix the problem?

lol its not that simple

its an inherent design flaw of the RB engines. just live with it cause you arent gonna spend the thousands and thousands of dollars to attempt to fix it the right way.

yea first hint is use the search button

second one is a big dual pass radiator and good fans with 1-2 bottles of watter wetter.

Supposedly yes. That's why nismo made a redesigned plenum.

OR just get a decent standalone and adjust your rear cylinders to run a bit more richer.

Just remember that the rb26 runs ITB's, then you also have the transient flow characteristics where air actually does comes back out of the inlet pipe. The intake plenum is anything but steady state flow. If it was a single throttle, yes I would believe.

Joe, I believe that is the same plenum used in the GT race cars, when they actually used the RB motor.

ill pretty much bet money its not haha

and i could be totally wrong. that might be a nismo manifold on there but somehow i doubt what goes in a 500hp endurance racecar will ever be sold to the public.

Not Exactly same, but very simular.

Speedhunter did one on the z-tune:
