Now that I'm getting so ever closer to my goal, i just wanna here from you guys on what exactly needs to be done. i found tons of info and swaps on rb25 swaps but no one really has a just stock swap of a rb26. do i need to bang out certain spot on firewall? how do i got about modifying the oil pan or do i just swap it out with a rb25 oil pan. help me out guys!! i know i have to change oil pump, water pump, timing belt and tensioners. and other stuff

The swap is pretty much straight forward as any other RB swap and very similar to the RB25 overall.

You'll need a RWD transmission: most commonly used is the R33 RB25DET transmission.
You'll need to convert your wiring harness by using the RB26 main engine harness and your 240sx engine harness (or send it out to get converted)
Oil Pan options are to either cut the front diff and front axle prop shaft from the cast aluminum RB26 pan. You'll also need to remove the cross over pipe in the pan for the axle: weld up openings where axles use to be. You'll then need to grind down some of the ribs on the lower portion of the pan to clear the crossmember and steering rack (depending on what mount kit you are using). or Modify a RB25 oil pan to fit. There are write ups on both methods.

Conversion mount kit will be needed. Along with a custom downpipe or off the shelf downpipe for the conversion.

Modified radiator hoses, custom FMIC and piping, upgrade fuel pump, intake filters, upgrade radiator, electric fans... bla bla blah pretty much all the parts associated with doing any other swap into a 240sx.

Pretty much thats the bare essentials of doing a RB26 swap into a 240sx. There are obvious hurdles that you'll encounter but it just requires common sense when under the hood.

Hope that helps.

ok what about the crank collar issues? is that something to address off top while the motor is out or later down the road when i want to add more Hp to the mix. if anything the most for now is stock since it will be a daily but later maybe mid 500 to 600 area.

when changing the oil pump you will want to inspect the crank collar. If it's servery damaged then you'll want to address it. If it has normal wear than you shouldn't have a problem putting the motor in and running it. Its not as big of an issue until later in the mix. At that time you'll be pulling the engine apart for a build.
