ive finally got all my stuff together for my swap and i have one question before i put the motor in,

when the motor is bolted up to the transmission ,ive seen swaps done where the lower braces are taken off of the transmission to prevent the brackets from hitting the steering lines , is this true or car the motor and transmission go in with the lower engine-to-transmission brackets installed

btw its an rb26dett wérb25tranny goin into an s13

its ALOT easier to install from the bottom, you can still fit it in with the braces on from the top it just takes alot of time, angle of the engine and a few buddies helping.

leave the transmission-to body mount off along with the isolator. just 2 bolts. put those on once your motor is in and levelled out. thats how i did it, and it was already a close call with the steering rack. i imagine it being a much bigger pita (although possible) w/ the transmission mount on there.
