RB26 injectors to rb20: wiring diagram question

The three write ups I have found weren't clear on this subject. Is the correct way to wire #1 or #2 In the picture below?

#1 connect both power sources to the resistor Box.

#2 Only connect the power source that comes after the plug (Green line) to the resistor Box. Then cap off the 12V source before the plug (Orange line).

Green and Orange: 12V source Red: Ballast 12V
