RB26 High Idle

Hey guys,

my 26 has always had a high idle since i got it. I have tried turning my AAC valve screw all the way in, nothing. The little "bolt" on top of throttle assembly is all the way out (not touching the throttle linkage), nothing. Tried taking apart the AAC valve and cleaned the s*** out of it, even swapped over parts from a spare i had laying around. Nothing. Changed the gasket as well.

I have an AEM S2 if that helps you guys out at all.


My tuner wont tune me because of this issue.

Any other ideas???

What does it idle at?

Have you vacuum/boost leaked your engine?

It idles at ~1574 according to AEM Tuner. I've checked the vacuum lines and they seem all good. I'll re-check again over the next 2 days

Vac lines aren't enough, vac/boost leak test your engine from -25in-Hg to +30psi.

Tested and nothing.... I have a feeling the electronic part of the AAC valve is faulty. Will locate another one and test again
