How do you guys think the Garrett GT3071R - 700382-3 would perform as twins on an RB26 bored to 2.7L. They are just ever so very slightly larger then the bigger GT28s, about a 2-4 mm difference for inducer sizes on both the compressor and turbine. Garrett claims they are the highest flowing "GT25" style internally wastegated turbos they make, which of course is very interesting.

Whats your goal for horsepower? Thats gonna be a lot of lag with those on there. They are pretty miss matched compressors for those turbines. Gonna be a light switch when boost hits.

If they will have bad lag then I'll just stick to something in the GT28 series. My goal is about 600 BHP so that I'll get at least 500 RWHP. I think I will go with a pair of GT2871R - 707160-10, which Enjuku claims can make up to 600 as a pair. Thanks for your help.

hit me up, there are better options. For your desired goal. GT2860's are always a charm

Deffinetly talk to coolwhip, he can set you up with a good set of turbos for the what you looking to do. If not just use a single, i believe a hx40 will do 500rwhp no problem.

Twin 3071s would be lag monsters unless they had very small exhaust housings, which would reduce the purpose of bigger turbos in the first place. There are more efficient options for power goals less than 800hp.
