I have a Rb26 in my S14. My friend also has a 26 in a s14, he made exhaust from the stock downpipes. But the front downpipe comes right infront of the steering rack and makes for some ugly not free flowing exhuast. What I want to do is make a new downpipes from the back of the turbos. I was wondering what others with a 26 in a 240 did. maybe some pictures? also what size to make em? I have some 2.5 ubends. will that be enough to get 550 HP or will I need 3" downpipes?

Thanks

Well.. you could do outlet pipes that go from 2.5" to 3" +. This is what I would do. Try to keep as much 3" as possible.

Speaking of pics, do you have pictures of yours? Or your buddy's?

I bought Mines dump pipes and had to cut one. I bent up a piece that went around my rack and tacked it into place on the cut downpipe. It took some messing around but it has good clearance and should function. Email me at [email protected] and I can show you a pic of what it looks like.
