What were the differences in rb26's between the 32, 33, and 34 and any engine changes made between? Anyone have a link to a site that may have this information?

Thanks

i actually searched before i post (always do to avoid getting my *** flamed to hell and back)

"rb26 comparison" and "rb26 differences" doesn't pull too much up unfortunately. I'll check those sites however, thanks

main differences are:early 32 has the crappy oil pump collar that everyone dreads

late 32-33 oil pump drive was fixed, awd transmission becomes pull type, slight changes to the wiring harness layout but ecu remains the same.

34 not too sure but i think pretty similar to 33. ornament cover looks different.

im not sure, but i believe the oem turbos remained the same for 32 and 33, MAYBE they became ceramic-less for 34? i know the N1 turbos got better throughout the years, but not sure about oem.

basically you want late 32 and up if you don't plan on rebuilding the motor for the good oil collar. if you plan on rebuilding, any of them is fine.

thaaat's pretty much what i was looking for.. if they're all pretty much the same block and head design, i'll just go with whatever's in the best condition, tear it down and start fresh thanks

If I don't get too lazy tonight, I'll scan an article I have from an Australian performance magazine where they discuss the differences between the rb26 for the r32, r33, and r34. I just don't have anywhere to host it so hopefully your e-mail account will fit it. If my memory serves me right, it's 5 pages and will be in pdf format.

Okay, I scanned the article. It's from the Australian magazine "High Performance Imports" No.51. I scanned the article into four pdf files so if anyone wants a copy of the article, let me know and I can e-mail them. Let me know if you want the color version or the inverted gray-scale version (which is more printer friendly). I don't have any server space to upload them to, unfortunately. Here's a dyno comparison between the R32,R33, and R34 Skyline GT-R's.
