Hi all,

I have been using this forum heaps since acquiring my car, it was from here that I was able to work out that my plugs were wrongly gapped and fixed a miss under boost, so thanks!

Here are my problems
My car is isn't starting in the morning without blipping the accelerator.
It farts and pops and is very unresponsive at around 2500-3000 when cold, when hot its fine.
It idles slightly high, around 1050.

I have fists of ham so I think I may have knocked a vacum line when changing my oil filter??

Anyway, any ideas before I start touching s*** I really shouldnt!! I am trying to load a youtube video of the failing start will add if I can get it going

Cheers in advance!

heres the video, oh yeah the reason I show the blue line that is blocked up is because I dont know what this is for as a previous owner did the conversion

I'm confused. Is it idling at 1050 when cold? If so, you've got a bad auxiliary air valve. (I think that's what it's called)

Ok, then that valve I talked about is bad. Depending on how cold it is, the car should idle up to around 2K rpm when you first start it. Go through the FSM (it should be located in the FAQ, but I'm not in the RB forum much) and it will tell you where it's located. It's a commong Nissan valve and I would be willing to bet there is an equivalent valve here in the US.

don't worry about that line thats capped off. its for the charcoal canister. just leave it blocked.

check for other vacuum leaks. if there aren't any and you want to lower the idle, you can tighten the idle screw underneath the intake plenum. there are a few potential leaky spots underneath the plenum. the FSM has a pretty good vacuum diagram to give you an idea of where they are.
