Hey everyone. One of my good friends JUST picked up an RB26 motorset and is starting the process of buying all the parts needed for the swap. Now, his motor came with a push-type clutch transmission. Upon removing the transmission, we discovered a HKS Twin-Plate clutch and flywheel combo has already been installed and in near perfect condition. But this brings us to the problem at hand.

When he purchases the RB25 transmission, can he still use this RB26 HKS clutch and flywheel combo, even though it is a push-type like the RB26? Or is he still screwed and needs the RB25 flywheel and 300zx NT clutch? I appreciate anyone's input into this. Thanks all......

Everything he has now will work, long as he gets the series one rb25det trans, they came with a push clutch.

Thats the exact set up I have, a HKS twin plate with the early 25 push trans....
