Just wondering if anyone has used an rb26 clutch assembly on a KA24E. I know the splines are the same but just wondering if the clutch will disengage properly? I know seems backwards and overkill but I have a near brand new act clutch rated to handle 400ftlbs that I had in my gtr for 3000kms but it didn't hold and had too mushy of a pedal for me so I swapped it out just would save some money.

not sure if the rb26 is 240 or 250mm, but if its 240mm it will fit a d21 hardbody flywheel or and rb20/25 flywheel.
also it needs to be a 6 bolt circle for the fw to crank mounting point to mate with the ka's 6 bolt.

I was more worried that some Nissan clutches are pull action rather than push for the TOB. Not sure which the RB26 is...

89-93 rb26 are push 94+ are pull (know this because i replaced my 94 transmission with an older one and used a push type clutch before i got the 94 one rebuild). The one I have is for a push type. I guess i"ll just give it a shot from what i see it looks like it would work i"ll post up some comparison pics i guess as well later today.

didn't take any pictures but I installed the rb26 clutch seems to all be working bolts lined up and everything went together without a problem. I'll know for sure once I finish the engine swap on my 720 and post the results! flywheels are slightly different (rear of the rb26 flywheel comes back farther) but the surface is at the same spot and it doesn't rub on the clutch guard (not sure about the technical term for this part lol)

Thats cool, white bunny 3.0? or the Godzirra? I think the later is a cooler nickname.

so I'm guessing you used the late model 94+ RB flywheel and Clutch. That would potentially mean that any multi-disc kit for the RB could work.

Were you able to fit the dust cover?

I think people are going to be very interested in the pedal feel and engagement point.

Did you need to knock down the dowel pin on the back of the KA crank?

Gotta go back and get some pics!!!

on the aimco fw and a 93 hardbody fw you need to remove the brass pin.

Dust cover fit with no rubbing, that part concerned me a bit. The flywheel had a small hole right where the dowel pin was on the back of the ka24e. I used a clutch that was a 89-93 Rb26 (push type clutch) Not the 94+ pull type. If it ends up I need to pull the engine again before the swap is complete I'll take some pictures.

Great Scott! This is a great swap, how sturdy is the trans on a 720?

720 trans shouldn't be THAT weak, but it also already has a bigger surface area than a 240 but IIRC less than a RB.
