Hey I was doing a water pump, timing belt, tensioner, and all that good stuff for my rb25dett. I read a few site on how to do it but Im still confused if I should take off the crankshaft pulley then get the timing marks or mark the timing marks first then take off the pulley? any help would be nice. thanx

looking at the pulley there is a mark that coincides with a notch in the oil pump at about the 4:00 position.Cam gears have marks that line up with marks in the backing plate at about 3:00 on the ex and 9:00 on the intake.Make sure the belt is tight on the right side and all slack is taken up by the tensioner on the left.
