hi guys, i found someone selling their rb25dett T-28's. he says it bolt's right on to the red-top T-25 manifold (unlike the s14/5 T-28's)

is this true?? will i have to modify the oil and water lines, or is it a total bolt-on affair??

aside from the flange compatibility, are they actually the same spec T-28's as on the s14/5's?

thanksJ.d

Yes. theyll bolt right on and all of the lines should bolt right on. You might have to rotate the housing to line up, but it will bolt on. the a/r is better. it spools up pretty much the same as the t25 with more air flow to create more power. how much is this guy selling them for? because if you have plans for putting alot more power in the near future than I would wait and upgrade to a t3 or a t3\t4 set up. you can actually get a flange adapter for the stock manifold but theres not alot of room. I would upgrade to a new manifold. you can find new ones for around $450-$1000 for the really really nice ones. get steel braided flex lines and redo the i/c piping going to the i/c. A new t3\t4 can close to $700 depending on who you know even cheaper or more. it depends. A good t28 I thinks holds at least 18 pounds saftley but a good t3\t4 holds much more. killer power for the det's. if you upgrade to a bigger turbo other than the t28 I would recommend upgrading the head gasket to 1.2 or more. Ive heard the block can hold 25 pounds but that would scare me.:alcoholic

he is selling both turbo's for 700.00 shipped. i have pics, send me your email, and ill send them...tell me what you think.

some people have said that it is a smaller T-28 than the s14/5's.

they say it is for a 3 cylinder banked manifold(cause from a TT set-up) but a T-28's a T-28, no??

difference is that it bolts to the T-25 flange (in theory of course)

let me know what you think.

thanksJohn

the flanges will match up.Several friends in Australia are running these on their S14's

You DO have to rotate the housing, but it is only held in place by 2 or 3 bolts, and takes little to no effort to rotate.

Mount it on the flange, loosen the bolts, rotate and install lines, tighten bolts.

The RB25DET has a single T3, do you mean an RB26DETT? Those turbos are a little on the small side when separated. The S14 turbo will fit on your car, you just have to make very minor adjustments.

Unless they are Nismo models I think a single S14 or 15 would give you more power.
