ok so i have a s14 with a series two rb25det

here is what i have so far and have 2 extra for longcks a shortblock is getting sent out in the near future for a couple of fun pieces but for now going to be rolling with stock bottom end,

arp headstudscosworth head gasketisis intake mani t 70 unsure of exhaust mani but im guessing an ebayerhuge fmic all 3 inch pipingz32 maf 800 cc injectorsadjustable fpr38mm external wgaem wideband 3 inch exhaust straight pipe all one piece dumps before driver rear tirestage 3 cluthchnistune with 300zx ecuim thinkin 40mm sway barsfront nd rear strut bars lowered on megan springs still waiting on some k - strutsmishomoto radiator w 2 12inch fanswalbro (obviously)

almost done putting the car back together and doing wiring i traded my s13 for it and the guy before me yikes did he have wires and s*** everywhere.

so i am thinking about running 17 psi im thinkin that will be safe and fun for now , what would you think that would put down at the wheels?

my buddy can tune with the best of them so not worried about the tune

should i go higher or lower with the boost?

just tell me what you think, and you can be honest even if it hurts me hahaha

thanks

You should have around 400-500whp, i would say mid 400's
considering that there is an s14 with a rb25det on a gt35r making 420whp on 17psi... and a t70 is a bigger turbo so a little more whp

Dump the Walbro & MR springs.

Look into dual pumps, or go baller like Booztd3 did and use a larger external pump. Personal experience says look other places for springs. (Eibach for example)

I would look for a more efficient turbo (35r or HX40) unless your not wanting it to come on until high in the rev range.

Ha 400-500whp...Not quite you will lose a ring lands before that is reached... I have the same build as you but I have forged int and bal bottom end with a 3071r and 17psi is pushing a piston that has seen 9psi its whole life... It happened to mine. And a 38mm wg for a t70 ... thats playing with fire watch that boost creep real close I would get at least a tial 44mm and ditch the tial sport... or whatever you got? And the nisturd will not have enough to get you where you need to be with the T70.... Be careful trust me I've been there

nisturd? really now? Why is it that it can't be done here (states) but on SAU in Australia they can do it?

Keep the tune conservative and you should be fine.

But I am also +1 for a smaller turbo for the numbers your looking at, ide lean towards a hx35.

stock internals on an rb have been proven to hold 450+ numerous times. The springs on the car are fine, I'm not really going to be doing any autox so no need for name brands and name brand pricing.

Beanstalk?..what are you running for engine management? aemems? haltech? because after nistune i believe you're looking at full standalone which isn't needed for the current build. What did you do tune with a safc for your 3071 ? i am not seeing how 17psi with arp head studs and a head gasket with a good tune is going to blow out piston rings. You are the first person i have heard say nistune is not going to work minus zerolift here in cincy that is just trying to sell pfc since that is all they use.

no need for a dual pump unless i'd be above the 500 hp range. ( but would be nice to have)

And for the turbo it came with the car so im not going to go buy one when i have a 0 mile turbo, Most of the parts came with the build just needed to be put all back together.

i made 503 whp on 17 psi with a t70 on my rb25det but it didnt hit boost until 5 grand and full boost at 5500 rpms way laggy but it was pretty fun. It would have been better with more rpm but that was my experience. Just make sure it has a good tune n u should be fine

500+ at only 17psi....mmmmm thats sweet. Lag or not that's pretty good numbers. Was that on a internally stock 25?
