Sorry if this is a repeat, couldn't find answers using search, of the two which will be a better option for power with bolt-ons, no internal mods, the RB25DET or 26DETT? Secondly is there a way to keep the TT set up on the 26 and stay LH drive?

thanks in advance,Jason

I know you didn't search hard enough because I see this a lot. Try again.

Thanks for the help black, i was hopeing someone had done a direct comparison between the two, ie. with this, this, and this, the 25 has this @ the crank/wheel vs. the 26 has this. but didn't see one. oh well, I'll prob. get a 26 anyways

you can look at the sponsors as well. Mckinneymotorsports sells mounting kits for both and now has the downpipes so you can keep the twins on the 26 if you want, all in LHD.

Good luck.

My personal opinion is that unless I was going to keep the AWD, the price difference between the two, plus the fact that you have to by the 25 transmission for the 26, makes the 26 not worth it. That is several grand you could spend to make the 25 faster. My 2 cents.

I actually sold out on my RB25 to go with the 26. Just seemed like a good idea to me, I like the fact that it's a stronger motor stock for stock, and I don't particularly want to build the engine up. Maybe if I need 1000hp I would... but I doubt it.

I got a good deal on it too.. came with the RB25DET box and a RWD sump.. :D
